Spirit, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit that was founded in 2021. The organization’s purpose is to help raise awareness and support for strengthening women and youth in underserved areas. We offer evidence based practices and programs that are holistic in nature and community oriented. Marginalized women and youth face the challenges in accessing educational and life skill programs that can sustain and uplift them into economic mobility and out of poverty. Our goal is to address the gaps in opportunities and resources and level the playing field for these vulnerable populations. Our vision is to strengthen them through knowledge, education, and resource accessibility, all of which can lead to a better quality of life. We strongly feel that humanity is the ultimate community.
As a nation, we are actively discouraging students in underserved communities to seek a quality STEAM education and knowledge about entrepreneurship. This is a moral problem, and it’s also an existential one: Our most pressing challenges — from climate change, to health, to important innovations that will cultivate and sustain economic growth — and our most potent opportunities require problem-solving skills rooted in STEAM and entrepreneurship. Ten of the top 14 fastest-growing industries require some kind of STEAM and entrepreneurial training. Spirit, Inc., offers both to children as young as 3 years of age and as old as 18 years of age. We want to ensure children in underserved communities have a solid foundation in both fields of study.
